Artists Statement:
Chris Lines was born in Surrey, UK. Her training was in Fine Art (Painting and Sculpture) and she has practised in the field of Art and Art Education her whole working life. Over the last 20 years in her personal practice, Chris has specialized in the medium of felt, which has both art and craft applications and is intrinsically connected to the land through the use of sheep’s wool as a primary material. Chris works in a mixed media context, using the practice of drawing, painting, photography and printmaking to underpin her work in Textiles. She has exhibited at an international level and regularly with QuayCrafts group on the Isle of Wight, where she now lives. Commissions and invitations to teach are welcome.
